Precast panels for Springvale Mausoleum stage 2

Completed in early 2017, in conjunction with Allmore and Webb Architects. Stage 2, with its similar design to stage 1, allowed us to use our knowledge to work on the finer details of the project and better the overall of the appearance of the building. Stage 2 incorporated 80 panels in total, 65 of these were polished with 10 of these being black and 55 being grey. The changes in mix design from stage one gave the panels a better depth and overall finish.

While the precast panels were relatively straight forward the design constraints with the polishing meant that the faces were to be free of fixings and imperfections, this meant extra design consideration had to be taken at time of install as to be able to prop without using the faces of the panels.
