Surf Coast Secondary College precast project

Structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing

Otway Precast worked with Ireland Brown Constructions and DWP Suters Architects to complete works on Surf Coast Secondary College in September 2014.

The project comprises of 147 black precast panels and retaining walls and 53 black precast wave columns. Using the precast column to act as a diagonal bracing allowed designers to remove a large amount of works from the substructure of the building while creating a unique wrap to the exterior. The precast columns work beautifully as structural and architectural features for the building.

This project was awarded with the Excellence in Construction Award 2015.
