Architectural concrete design for Deakin University, Waurn Ponds

The architectural design project for Deakin University in Waurn Ponds involved working with Shape Group (formerly ISIS Group) and 6 Degrees Architects. This project involved 35 suspended façade panels, featuring a three-metre circular cut out of a four-by-four metre square panel. This project also boasts 2500 individually hand-placed oyster shells on the off-form face of the precast.

This project was awarded with the 2012 AIA Public Architecture Award and still to this day is one of our most publicly recognised projects.
