Precast concrete seats for Deakin Burwood Spine landscaping upgrade

Otway Precast produced 19 polished precast seats as part of the Deakin Burwood Pedestrian Spine landscaping upgrade. The upgrade transformed the pedestrian area into an enjoyable and functional space for students accessing buildings at the campus.

The seats for the Spine were designed by Rush Wright and Associates. We worked with ACE Landscape Services to produce the polished white precast seats. The seats feature light recesses and hidden controller boxes for multi-coloured back lighting. The seats feature external and intersecting 50mm polished radius corners and timber chair backs. We also created one V-shaped seat.

A stunning architectural design for Deakin University Burwood campus – it was a pleasure working with all involved.
